Home of Your Own (HOYO) Program
Interested in becoming a Homeowner? Could You Use Down Payment Assistance? Funds are available for homebuyers with disabilities and families with an immediate family member with a disability.
HOYO works one-on-one with people with disabilities, helping them become homeowners. Eligible households can quality for $3,000 to $20,000 in DOWN PAYMENT and CLOSING COSTS assistance.
Eligibility criteria:
- Must be a person with a disability or have a family member with a disability.
- Must purchase a home in Blanco, Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis or Williamson counties.
- HOYO is also available in the following areas:

- Household must meet low income guideline--Below 80% AMI
- Must attend a HOYO orientation and homebuyer counseling classes
- Must be able to qualify for a conventional mortgage loan.
- Must be first time homebuyer or not have owned a home in the last (3) years.
- Home must meet minimum habitability standards. Post 1978. No Fixer-uppers!
