Berks Front Office Administrative Assistant (full time)

Do you want to help us make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities? We are searching for an energetic, customer service oriented individual to join our team of caring professionals working at our outpatient center in Reading. The ideal candidate is a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to work with children and families with disabilities. Bilingual English/Spanish fluency speaking/reading/writing is required.

The Front Office Administrative Assistant plays an integral role in the operation of our outpatient center. Responsibilities include welcoming families, therapists and physicians upon arrival; checking in patients using Raintree (software database); verifying insurance, creating electronic patient charts and scheduling appointments; managing new referrals and wait list; providing language interpretation as needed during appointments; responding to inquiries about community resources; processing mail and donated goods; and managing the inventory of office supplies. Prior medical office experience preferred, proficient in MS Word and Excel, ability to learn medical software. Community Based Direct Support Professional

Do you enjoy helping others reach their full potential? Join us as a Community Based DSP and make a lasting impact in the lives of our consumers in the Lehigh Valley or Berks County. Easterseals Community Based DSPs play an integral role by supporting people with disabilities in a variety of community activities. This interaction assists in the development of meaningful social and job connections in the lives of individuals with disabilities. You will work one-on-one with individuals with special needs to achieve success in volunteer activities (food bank, animal shelters, libraries, etc.), recreational opportunities (art classes, cooking lessons, etc.) and career exploration (resume preparation, etc.). A High School Diploma and prior experience supporting people with disabilities along with the ability to work in various community settings is required. You must be able to work a flexible schedule, have a valid driver’s license and have the use of a personal vehicle to transport consumers (mileage is reimbursed). Starting wage is $15 per hour.
