Alyssa Guard, PsyD

Dr. Alyssa Guard completed her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Indianapolis. She also earned a Master’s degree in 2021 from the University of Indianapolis as well. She has experience working with clients of all ages from varied backgrounds with various concerns; however, her passion lies in working with children and their families. She provides both psychological evaluation and psychotherapy, primarily to school-age children and their families. Her therapeutic style is largely humanistic and skills-based, often incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well. Dr. Guard treats anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns, attention deficit, behavioral issues, and a variety of other mental health concerns.

In her free time, Dr. Guard enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and cats. During her fellowship, she is looking forward to continuing to serve children and their families in her hometown community.
