NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA, OCTOBER 17, 2022 —Join New Orleans’ first inclusive art show on November 12, 2022 at 6 p.m. Nonprofit Easterseals Louisiana Chartwell Center (ESLCC) will transform their Magazine Street campus into an art gallery for the first art exhibition of its kind - Art for Autism - a showcase exclusively highlighting artists with Autism. Community members and local businesses are invited to support ESLCC’s therapeutic arts program with their attendance and patronage.

Art for Autism will debut art created by artists ages 2 to 30 years old enrolled in the organization’s clinical, academic, and vocational programs. All proceeds will benefit art supplies, lessons, and music therapy for the budding artists this school year. Patrons and supporters can savor light bites and cocktails as they take in the art created by program participants.

Easterseals Louisiana President and CEO, Tracy Garner, is excited to create a space in the New Orleans art scene that includes artists with Autism saying, “We look forward to showcasing the talent and results of the work of our students at our inaugural Art for Autism event.”

For over 20 years, the Chartwell Center has been working to make a life of independence and purpose possible for children and adults on the Autism Spectrum in New Orleans. Currently, Chartwell provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), academic services, and vocational training.  Chartwell’s curriculum is rooted in four pillars: Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), community integration, arts education, and health and wellness.
