Summary:

Easterseals of Northeast Ohio is looking for an energetic, compassionate team player to serve our clients and help make a difference up to 19 hours weekly as needed. The right candidate for this position will be required but not limited to:

Basic Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services to clients under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•    Provide evidence based occupational therapy services in a professional, integrated manner to ensure desirable outcomes are identified for the client and family.
•    Prepare timely and accurate documentation. Communicate as appropriate with clients/family, third-party funders, referral sources, and regulatory bodies.
•    Cooperate with other disciplines to provide a transdisciplinary treatment approach that will enhance the client/family's ability to function and interact independently within the appropriate setting.
•    Promote and develop professional skills and knowledge of self through observation, mentoring, in-service training/attendance, and departmental meetings.
•    Contribute and participate in team meetings, conferences, and staffing to assist clients and/or families in attaining established goals.
•    Maintain certifications in accordance with professional requirements and/or licensing standards of the profession.

Qualifications:

Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program, eligible for or licensed by the state of Ohio, knowledge of both pediatric and adult populations.

EQUIPMENT USED/MACHINERY REQUIRED TO OPERATE:
•    General office equipment including computers and applicable software programs.  
•    Adaptive equipment
•    Orthotic/prosthetic equipment
•    Cognitive, dexterity, perceptual, or sensory evaluation or testing products
•    Therapeutic balls or accessories
•    Weight machines and equipment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•    Stands, walks, bends, squats, twists, and kneels frequently.
•    Reaches overhead on occasion
•    Lift up to 20 pounds on occasion
•    Pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds occasionally.
•    Manual dexterity is necessary.
•    Good eye/hand coordination
•    Visual and auditory acuity to perform essential functions.
