Summary:

Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania seeks a highly organized and experienced individual to join our team as a Program Director for our Approved Private School located in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality of care and education for the children and families we serve.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Supervise therapy staff, secretary, Service Coordinator, and Head Teacher within the center.
  • Maintain a schedule of compliance monitoring activities to ensure program operations align with State and/or Federal regulations.
  • Provide professional development opportunities to staff to maintain skill levels and meet ongoing certification/licensure needs.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities as outlined by the agency's Quality Assurance program.
  • Review documentation and procedures to ensure compliance with agency and MAWA procedures (client documentation, Monthly Service Reports, Project ACCESS billing submittals, etc.).
  • Participate in program development activities and proposal writing in conjunction with the Division Director.
  • Maintain current policies and procedures as a reference for staff use in the facility.
  • Ensure that the program maintains an environment consistent with NAEYC accreditation standards.
  • Oversee the Intake Process and placement recommendations to ensure prompt placement of all children and receipt of prescribed therapy and educational services.
  • Survey classrooms and schedules to determine staffing needs for effective implementation of educational program plans.
  • Recommend the hiring of appropriate personnel to the Division Director.
  • Implement a uniform approach to curriculum implementation, program development, data collection, and record-keeping.
  • Complete the performance evaluation process for assigned staff.
  • Review documentation and systems to ensure timely and accurate generation of records pertinent to income and expense (including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, departmental budget information, project ACCESS billing, etc.). Review requests for purchase of supplies/equipment in line with established operating budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Education
  • Special Education certification, Principal's Certification or Supervisor Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a similar setting
  • Knowledge of State and/or Federal regulations related to early childhood education and therapy services
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Familiarity with NAEYC accreditation standards preferred
