Kelly Banerian- Early Intervention Supervisor

K. Banerian

Kelly is a College of Charleston graduate with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Kelly’s passion for working with children began at an early age. She has been taking care of children for most of her life. Kelly worked at her church after school program for four years while attending college. Following her college graduation, Kelly was hired as a second-grade teacher in the Berkeley County School District. She has twelve years of experience teaching in early childhood education classrooms. She loves helping children grow and reach their full potential. Kelly is very excited to join Easterseals and help families and children in our community! When she is not at work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, reading, drawing, and going to the beach.

Sarah Burnett

Originally from Lexington, South Carolina, Sarah pursued her Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of South Carolina where she focused in Psychology and worked in a private daycare setting for four years. She then obtained her Master's degree in Developmental Psychology from Liberty University before working as a tutor specialist for children with educational and developmental delays. She currently lives in the Charleston area with her husband and two children. Sarah enjoys time with family, exploring new places, and being a lifelong learner! She is excited to be working for such a great organization and serving families in her own community!

Lexi Olson

Lexi Olson joined the Easterseals family in July 2023. She graduated from Winthrop University in December 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies. She concentrated in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, as well as minoring in Social Welfare. Lexi has always had a calling for educating the youth and is eager to begin her career as an Early Interventionist. Most of her previous jobs have included working with Kindergarteners-5th graders in her local school district. She previously worked at a Title 1 school where she was able to see the importance of early intervention as well as parent involvement. She hopes to bring engaging insight to future families she will work with. During her free time, Lexi loves to shop, craft, and hang out with her family and friends, as well as her husband.

Nadia Goodwine

Nadia Goodwine was born and raised in Charleston, SC. She obtained her degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies in May 2022 from Winthrop University. Nadia has developed her passion for working with children through various teaching positions. Her first full-time job post-grad was as an assistant teacher for both K3 and K4. Nadia enjoys creating an inclusive learning experience for children and loves to watch them develop and grow. In her free time, Nadia enjoys spending time with loved ones, crocheting, eating, and relaxing. Nadia is thrilled to join the Easterseals team to assist and advocate for families and children locally.

Cyla Byrd

Cyla Byrd

Cyla Byrd is from Pensacola, FL, and joined Easterseals in the summer of 2024 as an Early Intervention Specialist. She graduated from The Citadel in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Fine Arts. She is continuing her academics with Liberty University to get her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Cyla has always wanted to work with children and has grown up helping infants and the children’s Bible school program at her church. Throughout her studies, Cyla has gained a love for working with children with special needs.

Heather Reynolds- Family Trainer

Heather was born in Virginia Beach, VA where she attended Virginia Wesleyan University. She received her undergraduate degree in Health and Human Services with minors in psychology and sociology. After undergraduate school Heather met her husband who was serving in the United States Navy. Being a Navy spouse afforded her the opportunity to travel across the US including California where she received her Masters in Social Work from San Diego State University and worked to assist persons with developmental disabilities to live productive and satisfying lives. While at the next duty station on the beautiful island of Oahu Heather worked managing child and youth ministries and developing community outreach programs.  In Hawaii she enjoyed the beaches, hiking and island cuisine. Heather has spent her entire career working with children in many different roles. Heather’s family is now settled in Summerville where she has 3 children, one in high school, one in middle school and her youngest is in elementary school. Heather is passionate about helping others and thrilled to be joining Easterseals as an Early Intervention Family Trainer so that she can assist and advocate for children and their families in her own community.
