Ali Krage Is a student at Northern Illinois University (NIU) and is studying to be a counselor. She gained confidence and independence as a blind person by attending the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired in Jacksonville, Illinois. From there she studied a few years at College of DuPage , then transferred to Northern Illinois University in 2016. Ali first discovered her passion for writing in a creative writing class at Addison Trail High School in the Chicago suburbs. She's been writing ever since, and now her writing is focused on her blindness. Ali hopes her words make others aware of what she, as a person who has been blind her entire life, is capable of. She also hopes readers understand it's okay to ask questions. She is confident that her writing will let readers know she is resourceful, and she can do just about anything a sighted person can.
