Rachel Beyerle has been a member of the Easterseals staff since 2008 and currently serves as Communications Director for the Easterseals Transportation Group based at the Office of Public Affairs in Washington, D.C. In her role, Rachel manages content development and communciations outreach for the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center and Easterseals Project Action Consulting and also supports the National Center for Mobility Management. Rachel draws on more than 20 years of experience in the transportation field when writing for the web, print publications, industry periodicals, or posting via social media. Her particular interests include community livability, accessible pedestrian facilities, and raising public awareness of how accessibility benefits everyone not just individuals with disabilities.
A native of Louisville, KY, Rachel holds degrees in Geography from the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky and is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Contemporary Communication from Notre Dame of Maryland University. Rachel lives in Alexandria, VA and enjoys travel, gathering with family and friends, and walking for exercise and fun!
