Crystal (she/her/hers) provides oversight and support to our multi-state affiliate partners and territories under the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). She is a Board Member of the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals and holds a Certified Workforce Development Professional credential. Crystal is an alumni and sponsor of the American Society on Aging's New Ventures in Leadership Program. She is also a member of the Chicago Jobs Council's Front Line Focus Workforce Development Professionals Mentoring Program and the Chicago Foundation for Women's Willies Warriors Leadership Initiative, which elevates leadership of Black women across Chicago, creating a pipeline and network of leaders committed to justice in city.
In 2022, Crystal was nominated as one of the Chicago Defender Women of Excellence. Crystal is an active member of the Chicago Central Section of the National Council for Negro Women, serving on the Social Action and Advocacy, Nominating and Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Committees, and also leads as chair of the Status of Women Committee for the Midway Chicago Chapter—Top Ladies of Distinction.
Crystal earned her BS in Psychology, Tennessee State University, and MA in Counseling Psychology, Lewis University, Romeoville, IL. Crystal is a Veteran of the United States Army-Operation Desert Shield/Operation Desert Storm. Crystal is inspired daily by her amazing husband, wonderful daughter, and bonus son.
