Financials and Annual Report
The Easterseals Rehabilitation Center provides life-changing programs and services to local children and adults with all types of disabilities. A sliding fee scale for the organization's core services makes the highest quality treatment possible for individuals from all walks of life. Approximately 95% of individuals receiving ongoing therapies require financial assistance from Easterseals fundraising efforts and donations. Generous community support underwrites therapy sessions for those who couldn't otherwise afford the services they need to achieve greater independence. During the most recent fiscal year, thousands of individuals were empowered through the services of the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center:
- 5,928 children and adults received one or more services, empowering them to achieve personal goals and enhance their independence.
- 42,748 medical rehabilitation evaluations and therapy sessions - physical, occupational, developmental, and speech/language therapies, audiology testing and follow-up services, psychology testing and counseling, and nutrition assessments and training - were provided to people from a 30-county area.
- 27,743 children's early care and education days were provided to infants and children of all abilities at the Easterseals Early Learning Center.
- 1,296 young children, ages birth-3 years old, received First Steps services through Easterseals to help them reach developmental goals.
- 569 individuals received psychological testing, the first crucial step in identifying their unique needs and developing the best treatment plan.
- 458 individuals received psychological therapy/counseling services to help them reach their greatest potential and experience a brighter future.
- 4,768 total psychology appointments, including assessments and counseling sessions, were provided to area children, youth, adults, and families.
- 22,401 days of services in a group home setting were provided to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, combining a family atmosphere with specialized care.
- 12,482 adult day services days were provided by our Aspire program, helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to improve their social, work readiness, and daily living skills.
- 5,332 organizational employment days were completed by adults with disabilities working in our Horizon Industries program.
- 450 driver's training and driver's rehab sessions were conducted to enhance independence for adults and seniors.
- 128 people received housing accessibility modifications to live more safely and independently at home.
- 785 community members participated in mental health trainings, learning to recognize and assist individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
