On June 14, 2012, Pat Koch was surprised at a ceremony naming a play area in her honor at Milestones, the Easterseals Child Development Center. The “Pat Koch Sensory Playground” features water sprays, misters, and fun fitness stations to benefit children of all abilities. The naming event celebrated Mrs. Koch’s 80th birthday year and the 20th annual Holiday World Play Day.

Pat is a loyal supporter of Easterseals and a passionate advocate for children with disabilities. She has personally welcomed thousands of kids with disabilities to the annual Play Day at her family’s Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari theme park in Santa Claus, Indiana.

On Play Day, school groups receive discounted admission, allowing children with disabilities to enjoy the park and extra attention from Holiday World’s caring staff. Pat says Play Day is her favorite day of the year. Since 1993, the Kochs have generously donated over $355,000 in Play Day proceeds to fund Easterseals services!
