Easterseals Massachusetts FY26 budget request is to add $400,000 for funding the College Navigator Program in line item 4120-4000 MassAbility.
The program offers a range of services, including connecting students to on and off-campus resources, supporting students to develop self-advocacy and communication skills, helping students to develop time-management, and planning skills, assisting students with accessing online databases such as Blackboard and Moodle, helping students with obtaining appropriate accommodations. The support provided by the Easterseals College Navigator Program is critical in helping students with disabilities achieve their academic and career goals.
The $400,000 will be used to hire four additional College Navigators who will serve an additional 120 students with disabilities. This will expand the program's reach and impact and help even more students with disabilities succeed in higher education.
