With an entrepreneurial spirit, Lynn's late husband, Bill, started Wallis Companies more than 45 years ago. In 2001, when Bill died from melanoma, Lynn became the President and Chief Executive Officer, and today, she remains President and is chairman of the board. The company has become one of the leading petroleum marketers in the Midwest, distributing gasoline under the major brand names of ExxonMobil, BP, and Phillips in Missouri and Illinois. Other businesses under the company umbrella include a franchise developer for On the Run, a car wash equipment and solutions provider, Briteworx Car Washery, a transportation division, and a lubricant division.
An enduring belief in the importance of community service guides Lynn, both through her role at Wallis Companies and in her personal life. In addition to her steadfast support of Easterseals Midwest, she graciously volunteers with several other nonprofit organizations. Lynn is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a Journalism Degree. She is an avid sports fan both as a spectator and as a participant.
