Baked Chicken Wings

Skip the carryout for your Super Bowl Sunday and try these baked wings! They're just as flavorful as fried but with a fraction of the fat and calories.

Broccoli Cheddar Sheet Pan Eggs
Yields:
Approx. 6-8 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 3/4 to 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 to 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 cup hot or buffalo sauce

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 375˚ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Pat the wings dry with a paper towel and place them in a large Ziplock bag.

3. In the Ziplock bag with the wings add the kosher salt, garlic powder, and chili powder. Seal the Ziplock close and shake to coat all sides of the wings with the seasoning mix.

4. Arrange the wings on the baking sheet in a single layer with the skin facing up toward you, place in the oven and roast for 45 minutes, flipping halfway through.

5. Rremove the wings from the oven and brush the hot sauce over the tops and bottoms. Place back in the oven for 10 minutes.

Notes:

Add ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper for spicy chicken wings, or to taste, with the other seasonings in step 3.
