Who is eligible to attend Camp Hemlocks?
For the children’s camp, a child must be between the ages of 8 and 18 years old. Those who are over 18 would attend the adult camp. The camper must have a diagnosis of physical, developmental or other disability that is appropriate to the session. They must be able to interact with others, be cognitively aware that he/she is participating in a camp program, be able to be involved in activities with other campers, and respond to staff. The camper must be able to adapt to a staff supervision ratio of one staff for every three campers. While we are prepared to offer one-to-one care when needed for feeding, bathing, toileting, etc., we do not have the resources for campers who require one-to-one supervisions at all times.
