Harrison and Hudson are an adorable set of 2 year old twins that were born six weeks early. Harrison started receiving early intervention when he was 7 months old to address gross motor delays. Harrison is now “worlds apart” from where he started. He is running, climbing, learning to use sentences and beginning potty training. He is very social and will pretend play with his brother and friends at pre-school. Mom feels her EI, Brittani Stevenson was the biggest support in the beginning. Brittani worked closely with the family to help him get services he needed such as PT and OT and ensured family members that he would continue to progress. Harrison has made so much progress that he has been discharged from these therapies.
As the twins got older, mom and Brittani noticed that Hudson was not producing sounds and words like he should be for his age. A referral was made to BabyNet and Hudson qualified for services. Since beginning early intervention and speech therapy, Hudson has made a lot of progress. He can now use phrases, recognize colors, shapes and animals.
