Wishing a happy retirement to June Strader

June has served meals and countless smiles at Jane's House in Yakima for 32 years

June StraderJune Strader will be retiring from Easterseals Jane’s House on May 1st, 2020. June began her career as the cook at Jane’s House in 1988, which at the time was ran under YVCC. She continued her education at YVCC and completed the Dietary Management Program in 1993. In 2006, June joined the Easterseals team as they took over Jane’s House Child Development Center. She has served delicious meals and warm-hearted smiles in our kitchen for 32 years.

At Jane’s House, all love June. Her friendliness and welcoming spirit has been a gift to fellow employees, families, and to the children in our care. When June walks into a classroom, the smiles on the many small faces say it all. It is not uncommon to be asked by a parent for a recipe because their child demands a meal cooked the “way that Teacher June makes it.”

June StraderJune is a loving wife and mother. This year she celebrates two other big milestones. She will turn 70 years old in June and in August will celebrate her 50th Wedding Anniversary with her husband Alan. Together, June and Alan enjoy traveling and attending car shows. They frequently visit Hawaii. Their family continues to grow with two children, Kellie and Brian, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. June also enjoys opening her home to friends and family to host events and of course cook some good meals.

As June begins this next chapter in her life, please join the Easterseals team in sending her off with best wishes. Easterseals thanks June for her many years of dedication to the health and nutrition of all the children who we have served.

Aloha June and Happy Retirement!
